Scot Gentry moved with his wife Allison to San Diego from the Midwest in 2000 and has worked in the financial services industry his whole career. Scot has a degree in Finance from Iowa State University and started out as a loan officer/community banker for an independent bank in Southeast Iowa where he later became an Assistant Vice President. He transferred to San Diego with the investment firm Edward Jones, and went on to work in corporate finance and marketing for GMAC Mortgage and Nicholas Applegate.

Rex helped Scot and his wife Allison buy their first San Diego home in 2001 and they have since referred several family members and friends to the firm. Becoming the ultimate advocate, Scot joined Rex Downing Associates in the summer of 2004, and continues to utilize his passion for real estate and problem-solving skills to benefit his clients. 

Scot, Allison, and their son Jonas live in the Metro neighborhood of Del Cerro.
